Shipping Policies
We understand there is nothing fun about waiting for an order to arrive at your doorstep. I mean, what are you going to pour your coffee into while your new favorite coffee cup is getting shipped all the way to you? That's why we try to get your order to you fast. We're talking cheetah on espresso fast.
TL;DR
In short, please allow 3 to 5 days for order processing, and 5 to 30 days for shipping, depending on where in the world you are.
What to Expect When You Place an Order
Just so you know, there are a few things that have to happen after you place your order:
- Pablo in Receiving, reviews your order and sends it to the official Department of Cups. He also sends you an email letting you know we got your order.
- Your exact cup is selected and prepared for departure; a process that takes 3 to 5 business days*.
- A handsome and sturdy box is prepared to receive your exact cup, and cradle it in loving coziness.
- A nicely addressed label is firmly attached to the outside of said box, and a shipping order is placed inside. A near exact replica is simultaneously emailed to you.
- Once cleared for departure, an appropriate delivery company is matched up through a sophisticated process we call "Who's the fastest?" Generally, shipping is by USPS, UPS, or FedEx. Overseas delivery is usually done by DHL.
- Next comes the scary part. Remember in Apollo 13 when the astronauts went around the moon and there was no communications? It's sort of like that: Your package is in the hands of the delivery service. We get nervous when something is not in our hands.
- Singing, "Wait a minute, Mr. Postman," probably won't help, but you can try it. At some point, Mr/Mrs/Ms Postman will have a delivery for you, from us. Inside should be your fun new cup, shiny and ready for use! (We do recommend washing it first, though.)
In all, that's about 12 business days* or less for standard shipping, or 3 to 5 days for express shipping, as the handy shipping chart below explains.

*Why is there an asterisk after Business Days? Just to let you know that we define Business Days as Monday through Friday, excluding holidays, between the hours of 8am and 6pm Central (U.S.) time. For example, if your order is placed at 6:05pm CST on Monday, that qualifies as a Tuesday order.
